TESTING & INSPECTION SERVICES
RRL NDT offers experienced Level II and III certified nondestructive testing technicians who can perform nondestructive testing at your facility.
NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING & INSPECTION
Nondestructive testing and inspection are used across various industries to evaluate the properties of many different materials, products, systems, and welds, without damaging or affecting the material being tested. Our biggest priority is ensuring that your parts and systems are safe and up-to-code. We use a variety of different NDT testing methods to accomplish this goal, including:
(PT) Liquid Penetrant • (MT) Magnetic Particle • (ET) Eddy Current • (BT) Bond Testing • (UT) Ultrasound-Shearwave • (UTT) Ultrasonic Thickness Testing • (VT) Visual Testing • (LT) Leak Testing • (MSLT) Mass Spectrometer Leak Testing
Other than radiographs and pictures, most NDT inspections will end with no visible evidence they were ever conducted. Not altering a test piece is one of the goals of NDT. Ultrasound gel is wiped off, liquid penetrant and magnetic particles are removed with water or a solvent, eddy current probes leave no trace, and test pieces inspected with radiography do not retain any radiation.
Nondestructive testing is a vital part of any facility’s safety procedures. Stress corrosion cracks and thermal fatigue need to be detected and repaired before they lead to failure of a component. Whether you need short-term support during a scheduled outage or long-term support for in-service inspections, RRL NDT is ready to assist! Our experienced technicians, both level II and level III, conduct ultrasonic thickness measurements, visual inspections of welds, eddy current, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant inspections for cracks. Let us help your facility run safely.
